YUJA WANG
Sunday,
March 15 - 3:00 p.m.
Beijing native Yuja Wang, who came to the US at age 15 to study at the Curtis Institute, consistently brings audiences to their feet with her poised but electrifying command of the most challenging works in the repertoire. Since she was named a Gilmore Young Artist in 2006, her career has taken off rapidly in North America, Europe and Asia, and the past two seasons she has made highly-acclaimed last-minute substitutions with major orchestras for luminaries Radu Lupu, Martha Argerich and Murray Perahia. Her recital programs are intriguingly diverse and reveal her astonishing range of musical gifts.
