JONATHAN BISS

Jonathan Biss, a 26-year old graduate of Peabody Conservatory, enjoys an increasingly busy international career in which he has established a strong reputation for intriguing programs, interpretive depth, and exceptional versatility. His two critically acclaimed CDs on the EMI label will be joined by an all-Beethoven disc due for release in October, 2007. Since appearing with the Chopin Society in 2001, Biss was named a Gilmore Young Artist, served as artist-in-residence on Performance Today, and became the first American chosen for the BBC's New Generation Artist program. His still-developing career has also been distinguished by an Avery Fisher Career Grant, a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, and the 2005 Leonard Bernstein Award.
